Kilmer Friends & Family (KFF) is the parent and caregiver organization at Joyce Kilmer K-8 School. Our mission is to support the well-being and educational success of every Kilmer student by building a strong, connected school community. Every parent or guardian of a Kilmer student is automatically a member of KFF.
KFF supports learning and community at Kilmer K-8 by:
Organizing school-wide and family events
Raising funds for student enrichment and engagement
Partnering with teachers, staff, and the broader community
Funds raised by KFF help support programs, materials, and experiences that enhance learning both inside and outside the classroom and enrich students’ day-to-day school experience.
Recent initiatives supported by KFF include:
Funding the Making Music Matters program
Teacher appreciation efforts
Field trips
Food and catering for community-building events
KFF raises funds through a variety of community-centered efforts, including bake sales, seasonal sales, raffles, events, donations, and grants. All funds raised directly benefit Joyce Kilmer K-8 students and staff.
KFF meetings are held monthly and are open to all Kilmer families. Meetings include updates from the principal, discussion and approval of projects, and planning for upcoming events and initiatives.

Joining KFF is one of the easiest ways to stay connected, get involved, and make a meaningful impact at Joyce Kilmer K-8—no matter how much time you have to give.
By being part of KFF, you can:
Support your child’s school experience by helping fund enrichment programs, field trips, and classroom resources
Build community by connecting with other Kilmer families, teachers, and staff
Stay informed about what’s happening at school and how decisions are made
Have a voice in projects and initiatives that directly benefit students
Get involved in ways that fit your schedule, from volunteering occasionally to helping behind the scenes
Every parent or guardian is automatically a member, and participation is always optional—but every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our school community.
